Sarah’s career has always reflected her commitment to ensuring students living in poverty and students of color have equitable access to great teachers and schools. Sarah currently serves as Human Resources Director at The Education Trust. Previously, she was the Director of Talent Development for Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS), where she set strategy and led efforts to attract, develop and retain excellent and diverse talent. Prior to CPS, Sarah spent nearly a decade working at the National Council on Teacher Quality, where as Chief of Staff and Director of Development she played key roles in the organization’s pioneering efforts to improve teacher quality and teacher preparation.
Sarah began her career as a high school English teacher and Teach For America corps member in Philadelphia, PA. She holds a B.A. from Emory University in History and English, and an M.S. in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. Sarah was born in Atlanta, GA, and currently lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband and two sons, Sidney and Miles.
