Dr. Sarah Seinfeld has worked in education for nearly 20 years in different capacities, from teacher to administrator. In her current role as Director of Teacher Residency Programs, Dr. Seinfeld oversees the LMU residency pathway and maintains the partnerships with K-12 schools across California where teacher candidates complete their clinical experience. Her main focus is to create and maintain a high-quality teacher preparation experience in alignment with district needs and goals as well as the hallmarks of excellent residency programming. Prior to coming to LMU, Dr. Seinfeld served as the Director of Teaching and Learning for PUC Schools, where she led several instructional initiatives including expanding the teacher pipeline for the organization through a “grow-your-own” residency program. Dr. Seinfeld received her multiple subject and general science teaching credentials as well as her M.S. in Urban Education at LMU; she earned her doctorate through the Educational Leadership Program at UCLA. Her research interests include teacher well-being, mentoring for equity, and pre-service teacher preparation.
